Can I lengthen the time of the Pause in the Contour system?
Pause only lasts about 10 min or so. With the previous box, it was an hour. That's what I'd like to set it to. But I can't find the option in any menu.

I have contour and can pause recorded programs indefinitely. (1) Press Pause--playback pauses and the progress bar displays. (2) Press Exit--the progress bar disappears. (3) Press Info--the info banner appears at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds and then goes away. The screen will now remain paused until you press another key. I discovered this by trial and error and don't know if it works on anyone else's set or not, but it's worth a try. Good luck.

@forumokie, your solution works. I tried it today and the show stayed paused for as long as i wanted ( i waited over 20 minutes). What other workarounds have you figured out?

@yak, I'm glad it worked for you. I have found it works both on my primary contour dvr as well as my two client boxes for tvs in bedrooms. I haven't found any other significant workarounds lately, but this one alone has improved my quality of life greatly.
