No TV, but there's Internet. No information available on the website (ever). All telephone circuits are busy, all online operators are busy. Is there any information on what the problem is? What's the Estimated Time of Restoral (ETR)?
Why is there never outage information page on Cox.com's site? I find it moderately disturbing that a corporation whose name actually contains the word "Communication" does a mediocre job of communicating with the customers.

Do you mind stating what state/town your in? The moderator might be able to tell anyway, but if others are having the same issue, knowing where you are might help. There was a post of something odd going on in Arkansa. Do you happen to be there?

Have you tried (623) 594-1000. That may be their local number if maybe something is wrong with 877-206-4210. You might be able to email them at cox.help@cox.com too.
Other then that, you make a good point about not having an outage page. They actually used to have one, but took it down. I think the reason they took it down was they weren't able to update it quickly enough. I think thats because the people who make the websites are higher up on the corporate ladder then the people who hear about the outages first. I have noticed Cox put effort into other real time support options; online chat, Twitter, Facebook, etc, so thats something. It would be nice to have a national outage page. Especially as more and more systems become automated and standardized.

I've called the number multiple times, but get the "All circuits are busy" message and it doesn't allow for me to even hold, even if I wanted to. Also the online chat functionality with the online techs constantly shows that all techs are busy.
I get it, you have an outage and everyone wants to call you. But for those of us that cannot reach the operators are hanging in the breeze.
As to the website not being updated, that's so easily solved I cannot even believe they aren't all over that issue (allow techs/managers the ability to update a regionalized content page for service statuses). Yes, the main content should be locked down, but the regional information should be easily updated by techs. When I sign in it knows what region I'm in, any notices for my personal Cox page should have bulletins that pertain to my interest, mainly the TV being down.
Adding insult to injury I can stream the Live TV... but I want/wanted to watch the Olympics, and NBC is one of the channels which isn't available.

You won't get a argument from me. I was just explaining some of the reasoning behind the madness.
BTW, while your at it, maybe tell your power company for a support page too at ssvec.org? They show some planned work being done on Rt 10, but it looks to far away to be a issue. Sorry. Wish I could be of more help.
