Anyone experiencing a drop in download speed 50 % in las vegas area Premier Service?
I noticed this week a drastic drop in down load speed 100+ to Barely oven 50mbps and an in On of my games increased about 20ms in connection speed. I there an issue in Las Vegas NV area? Internet is slower also. These are wired connections.

I pay for Premier, which is advertised as "up to" 50 Mbps download speed
Hulu asks for 3.2 Mbps
Netflix asks for 5 Mbps.
My "up to" 50 Mbps has a download speed of LESS THAN 2.0 Mbps (upload is between 6 and 7), according to speedtest.com
Both HTPC and Smart TV are Cat 6 Ethernet 10/100/1000 connected on a COX provided Type 3 modem.
My problem or Cox's problem? If it's mine, tell me what to do. If it's Cox, fix it.

BTW, I'm in Gainesville Florida, but it sounds like the same sort of problem in Las Vegas.

Indeed, been having a drop ever since we had an outage last Sunday. Had a tech come by and saw nothing wrong with the connection, got the speeds from my Coaxial but my Upload speed has been absolute trash.

That's no good at all. What model router and modem are you using? When you ran the speed test, were you wired to the router, or modem?

One of your signal levels is reporting a bit of noise but I'm still getting good responses from the modem. Can you try signing into your http://www.cox.com account and testing your speeds there?

I looked from here and all seems well with the connection and it looks like your most recent speed tests on our servers are good. Where are you seeing the upload problems at?
