AMC (SD or HD) not working with CableCard in Mesa (85208)

I use a CableCard to watch TV through my PC, and for the past ~week and a half AMC has not been coming in at all.  I have tried resetting the tuning adapter, called Customer Support, no luck.   Perhaps there is a mapping issue with this channel?

Well I hooked the cable straight to the TV....and it worked.   I then hooked the cable back up to the CableCard Tuner....and it's now working again.  I have no idea why that fixed it, perhaps unhooking and rehooking the cable did some kind of "reset" or whatever and it's corrected things.  We'll see how long it lasts.

When you say "not coming in at all" could you give more info? What tuner card are you using? Whats the message or what the picture look like?

If its both SD and HD of a channel the first things that comes to mind is its a account issue, and not so much a technical issue. Do you have the Cox TV Essential package atleast?

The exact text is:

"No TV Signal. There is currently no TV signal detected for this channel.  The channel may be temporarily off the air, or you may need to adjust or reconnect your TV antenna."

i know it's not my package....I've had AMC working just fine up until about a week and a half ago and I haven't changed anything. It just all of a sudden stopped coming in.  Every other channel works. TNT, ESPN, SYFY, etc.

i use a Hauppauge DCR-2650 cablecard tuner along with the cox provided tuner adapter.

Hi mva5580,

What device are you using with the cable card? Is the light on the adapter solid or flashing?

Probably changed the QAM. Have you tried a Auto select?

1. Start Windows Media Center.
2. In the Start window, scroll to Tasks, click Settings, and then click TV
3. Click Guide.
4. Click Edit Channels.
5. Click Auto Select.

For more info see here. Also try disabling your firewall, some people said a update can cause a communication problem with WMC. Last, I would disconnect the cable from tuner and connect direct to a TV if possible and make sure you can get it there. Also make sure the picture isn't snowy or in anyway distorted.

Can anyone here confirm if AMC is a SDV in that market?

Well I've done that, and it unchecked both of the AMC channels.  Probably not a good sign.

I will try hooking the cable straight to the TV and see what happens.
