8 way cable slitter

I am looking for a 8 way cable splitter and not sure of what frequency range I need.  There are two different ranges.  One goes up to 1 GHZ and another goes up to 2.4 Ghz.  What is the frequency range of the signal for the Cox digital cable?  Also could you suggest a brand and modle number.  I was looking at the Ideal model 85-138.  Will this work with the COX signal.

I have a singe cable coming in the house.  I have one cable modem, 1 HD DVR cable box, and 3 HD MINI boxes.  Plus 3 spare cable outlets.  NOTE: all of the coax cables are RG6.

You would want a 1Ghz splitter. Also look for one that has circuit board internal construction. However, splitting the signal 8 ways may make the signal too low for your internet modem to work properly. I suggest taking signal reading from the modem's 192.168.100.1 diagnostics and compare them using this. Or you can post them if you want our opinion. The other option would to get a 2 way splitter, 1 to modem, and 1 to a 4 way splitter for your cable boxes.

What was the need for the extra outlets? CATV won't work anymore. That is why you need the mini boxes.

Two caveats: 1) You might consider a 1->2 splitter to your modem, and a 1->6 splitter for the rest. 2) If you are running a MoCA network, you might want to consider multiple MoCA ready splitters. These help to give you better WHDVR performance.
