Greedy disgusting service
I despise cox as a provider you’re greedy, and your service drops off yet you charge nearly 40% more then other services for less speed. I have no choice but to be ripped off by you as my apartment complex partners with your **bleep**ty service and won’t allow att to expand here with fiber internet which is unlimited and cost less for more speed.. Seriously thinking about biting the bullet and just taking ATTs 5g internet because you’re greedy money hungry asses. The. You Want to charge even more money just for using the **bleep** service. 1tb of data a month isn’t **bleep** in a world where everything requires the internet including the tv. Then you lie about other companies and say many others do the same thing. That’s bull**bleep** no one charges people for usage. Data is free you assholes, it’s not fricken fossil fuels it’s data it’s naturally unlimited. And the. You want people to pay $50 for unlimited data. You’re insane you’re charging more for subpar service. You only get business because people who live in apartment complexes don’t really have a choice. They partner with your **bleep**ty service for discounts and write off that it’s resident don’t benefit from. Why not try not being assholes and stop throttling people and charging people extra for using the **bleep** service in the first place?Jeremyhubaker2 days agoNew Contributor7Views0likes0CommentsPersistent dropped connection
Tech just left my house. Got done useful info after everything checked out. end of September connection list 6-10 times a day. I constantly had to reset my modem. I was fuming at Cox October I went to the store and got a new modem (I rent from Cox). STILL the problem persisted! calked in work order. Tech replaced EVERYTHING (new box on house, new wring, new cable/power cord to modem. Ordered new underground line to be buried. first of November that was done…STILL problems. I found if I just left it alone it reset itself completely in 10-12 minutes. Spoke to second tier support Monday. Today, Tech showed me all readouts show good. HOWEVER, he divulged the problem is with software loaded to the individual modems by COMCAST and is happening in ALL of Cox’s markets. why can’t the tech support people tell us that on the phone? Why is Cox sitting in this. Obviously, the answer is NOT repeated field tech visits! Come in Cox DO BETTER! I’m actively looking for other options. A year ago I got the T-Mobile unit for $35/month and have my phones and laptops using that. Never a dropped signal unless due to power outage!frh2bbh3 days agoNew Contributor43Views0likes0Comments- Glsuit4 days agoNew Contributor65Views1like0Comments
A reply is not a discussion
So, I registered a complaint about service downtime and its impact on students around Arizona State University. A moderator responded to my complaint and said all the right things that sometimes these thing are un aviodable, etc, etc ... But turned off replies in the discussion. Rhetoric does not resolve the issue. I would like to understand that steps are in place to improve service. I am concerned about the overall number of outages and the duration of those outages. I am frustrated by the overall downtime. I am not a cable logistics or infrastructure expert. But if I were a cable provider I would have several experts to understand how to minimize downtime of service. I am only on the recieving end, and I feel that Cox can do a better job to minimize interuptions to service.Dean608 days agoNew Contributor34Views0likes0CommentsVecima Tuning Adapter constantly rebooting Tivo Roamio
I finally was able to get the new Vecima tuning adapter working with my TiVo Roamio after about 2 weeks of back and forth with cable card tech service and finally started receiving all the channels I should be. However, now my Roamio is repeatedly rebooting at random when it receives some commands like rewind etc. Once it reboots, it doesn't see the tuning adapter. I then have to power cycle to TA and power cylce the Roamio again to get everything working. This has happened several times and is very frustrating. The TA appears to have the 1.8.0 firmware. Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.Pepinak2 months agoVisitor II40Views0likes0CommentsNext-Gen Cloud TV. Recordings deleted soon.
So I heard on this forum from a moderator that: "We will be moving to a new vendor for our cloud DVR platform as of December 11, 2024". Then I saw this post on Reddit that said they(customer) received a notification that recordings will be deleted when moved to the new system, however the mods deleted the post for being off topic. Last, I saw this post on DSLReports that points to the new system Comcast is rolling out and they are licensing it to Cox. So still not sure how the new system will work, but FYI, changes are coming. Back up any important recordings onto a analog copy if possible. They will be deleted by next month.WiderMouthOpen2 months agoEsteemed Contributor215Views0likes0CommentsNo picture while adjusting volume?
I have my cox TV box through my AV receiver. When I adjust the volume, which is on the receiver, the tv picture goes black momentarily, then comes back. It started when I got set up a few days, then another time it didn’t do it, now it’s doing it again. I’m at a loss 🤷🏻♂️B1gR0b2 months agoNew Contributor10Views0likes0Comments- Kmaloid462 months agoNew Contributor30Views0likes0Comments
