Utility easement guidelines

What is Cox’s policy for utility easment? I came home and found one of my larges bushes just hacked into pieces. I am assuming Cox did it because there is a box near the bush. Now I am aware of utility easements, but there was absolutely no notice and the manner at which the bush was cut is beyond repair and quite frankly, I find uneccesary. It want cut back, but half of it just just down and the bush trimmings just tossed in my yard. Does anyone know their policy or had similar run ins?
