I am experiencing chronic packet loss and interruptions of service. I have had techs out who claim they have resolved the issue, but it persists. It regularly makes the service unusable for several minutes/hours at a time. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Yes, this is because I would guesstimate that 85-90% of the time the service works perfectly. I am experiencing drops in service and when I spoke to one of your representatives on the phone she was even able to observe this from her end. She had a tech come out to our house to fix it, but the problem is still present. I am still seeing huge packet loss at times that results it the service being unusable.
I am on a hard wired Cat5 connection on a desktop PC, but the problem is across all service including the wifi. Usually either online gaming, web browsing, or video streaming.
I had a tech come out who was able to observe the packet loss in action, around 5PM. He was unable to diagnose the problem, as the problem is deep within the COX system. I would only recommend this option if COX will send them for free. This needs to be escalated to techs who actually control the COX systems.
No, the time varies, but it actually happens more at night/early morning between 10pm - 6am
