Cox remote
We have the Contour 2 voice remote with the Contour box. When looking at the guide, flipping [page up] and [page down] it seems to only flip through 3 channels at a time. Recently this has been irritating my boyfriend. Has it always been this way or is there a glitch with the remote and/or system?
Cox Guide descriptions are messed up again!
If anyone else has the pleasure of having their Cox TV Guide read as if they've been translated from English into Spanish, then back into English, PLEASE do us the pleasure of posting your screen shots. mini box keeps loosing guide
We have 3 of these boxes and occasionally they all loose the guide but not very often, except for one of them and it has gotten where it loses the guide almost every day. Sometimes it will not even bring the guide up. We have unplugged it and left if from a minute to 15 minutes or more. We have reset the connection from the COX website and/or just unplugged the main DVR. We checked and wiggled connections. Tried having it test itself, most times it says cannot connect but will sometimes and has updated itself when it did connect. We have run a channel scan. All of this has been done on a daily basis the past few days. We can fight with it for several hours and it finally comes back, not sure what fix actually worked on it. I am thinking this box is bad? How do we go about getting a new box, or should we try buying a new cable first?Why is it that the "new" contour tv guide does not allow customization of displayed channels?
Why is there no option to only display subscribed channels or setup of multiple favorites list? I don't want to see hundreds of channels I will never watch. I sure don't want the kids to have access to ALL the guide options but when I;m watching tv I sure don't want to see a bunch of kids channels. There needs to be a way to set up multiple favorites list and/or guide profiles. The current "filter by All Channels, HD Channels, Favorites, Trending, Movies, Sports, and Kids" is not sufficient because that is what Cox determines to be within those categories, not what customer wants to personally see. A perfect example was trying to watch the Olympics, half of the channels the games were shown on were not considered sports, therefore they would never show up within a search. The Rio add-on within contour did not help either because it also did not include everything. I run into this issue every time sports are shown on local channels, Fox, ABC, NBC, etc.
Guide is absolutely useless.
What good is my channel guide when all it says on the screen is "To Be Announced"? What good is my channel guide when all it says is "No information Available" when it actually does tell me what I'm watching? What's going on Cox? What can I do to fix this problem? Regardless of which channel we select, the INFO feature stays on 104 IDHD. Makes navigating through channels a bit more difficult, unless we use the Guide every time. It would be nice to see which channel we are on as we go through the channels, or check the INFO feature independently to see what is on a specific channel. Example:If the TV is on channel 43 and you select INFO - it shows 104 IDHD and only tells you what is currently on that channel. Advance to channel 44 and it shows that you just went to 104 IDHD and tells you whatis currently on 104 IDHD. Just started this morning. Did a self-test on our mini-box and reprogrammed the channels, but no luck. Tried to do an online chat, but if you take more than a few seconds to respond they disconnect your session - real helpful. SMH.
