Message to <3@2031342> was automatically rejected: spam
I received this bounce-back from the Mail Delivery Subsystem: Your message to<3@2031342> was automatically rejected: spam Who is <3@2031342>? Certainly not someone i communicate with. I've not seen that format for addresses before. And the message was bcc'd to 2 of my students and cc'd to my co-prof. Why was it screened as spam?1.9KViews0likes4CommentsUsing Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 16.54 Microsoft 365 and receiving bounce back when "New Outlook" toggled on but no bounce when toggled off.
Using Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 16.54 Microsoft 365 and receiving bounce back when "New Outlook" toggled on but no bounce when toggled off. A Gmail account does not have the same issue. The bounce error is: SmtpSubmissionPermanent5XXException: Smtp submission failed. Server 'smtp.cox.net' Port '465'. --> Unexpected SMTP server response. Expected: 250, actual: 503, whole response: 503 not available Failure code: 5513 Updated the password per Cox' support site, but didn't resolve. When sending with the "New Outlook" toggled on, the above bounce happens but toggling off "New Outlook", email sends fine. No problem receiving emails either way. Checked for Office update and it says Office is up to date. Any suggestions?1.2KViews0likes0CommentsEmail being deleted without being read
Hello all — I have many correspondents with .mil email accounts. When they email me with an attached file, Cox replies that their email "was deleted without being read." The email is, in fact, picked up my client (Apple Mail) and delivered to my computer. This only happens in the .mil domain and only with attachments. What's going on, and how do I fix it? Thanks, Mick1.2KViews0likes2CommentsEmails bouncing from certain sender
I have been getting morning emails from a certain sender for months and they stopped on 9/24. I contacted other recipients of emails from this sender and they are still getting their emails. I wonder why Cox is not accepting them. I asked the sender to check their logs and this is what they found: 04:41:16 [34541] Delivery for brad@midsouthimaging.com to XXXXXX@cox.net has completed (Bounced) 04:41:00 [34541] Delivery started for brad@midsouthimaging.com at 4:41:00 AM 04:41:03 [34541] Skipping spam checks: No local recipients 04:41:06 [34541] Sending remote mail for brad@midsouthimaging.com 04:41:06 [34541] Initiating connection to 52.73.137.222 04:41:06 [34541] Connecting to 52.73.137.222:25 (Id: 1) 04:41:06 [34541] Binding to local IP 208.186.112.96:0 (Id: 1) 04:41:06 [34541] Connection to 52.73.137.222:25 from 208.186.112.96:63574 succeeded (Id: 1) 04:41:11 [34541] RSP: 554 cxr-ibgw-5007a.stratus.cloudmark.com cmsmtp 208.186.112.96 is listed on Cloudmark CSI-Global.
