Can you help me escalate this to a higher tier? Re: Packet loss/High latency Yes I am a gamer using a hard-wired connection. This occurs at all times even when not gaming. I run ping tests to google and notice ping spiking wildly. Packet loss/High latency Some background info: I've had at least 10 tech visits already confirming the signals inside my house is perfect. The router is fine, the modem is fine, yet I get random lag spikes and packet loss even during off-peak hours like 3 AM on a weekday. A few weeks ago, a Cox tech monitored my network over the course of a week for packet loss. He said he found nothing wrong. If nothing is wrong on Cox's side or my side then where on earth is this lag coming from? This has been going on for way too long nowand I feel like the tech did not check the outside lines properly. Surely there is some high tier support than can help me? Ongoing lag/packet loss I've been through this channel multiple times and had at least 3 senior inhouse Cox tech visits and they can only say that its due to network congestion. However, I've been getting issues even at 4 AM on a Tuesday night which can't possibly be due to congestion. I noticed large amounts of uncorrectables to my modem, as well as constant error messages in the modem event log. https://share.pingplotter.com/fUdu9qa18Um Re: High ping jitter and rubberbanding https://share.pingplotter.com/cz8sXSuQ98a Re: High ping jitter and rubberbanding The tests are directly connected to the modem High ping jitter and rubberbanding Recently I was told Cox replaced dry cables outside my home to fix my packet loss. The packet loss seems to have improved but unfortunately my ping spikes still continue. Here are pingplotter traceroutes showing my ping spikes on a quiet network: https://share.pingplotter.com/XciVFzHrKUe- Cox https://share.pingplotter.com/9JSgRcb3Tvo- Google https://share.pingplotter.com/h1Fej9ETcY3- Yahoo https://share.pingplotter.com/DhCcaDatu9G- Twitter I'm an avid gamerandthese ping spikes of 100+ frequently cause rubberbanding ingame. It is extremely important that this issue is resolved as currently I am unable to make full use of my internet service. Re: High Jitter/Packet Loss https://share.pingplotter.com/ARTazqgV9NP https://share.pingplotter.com/6BhiihgWhxB The specific game server isn't the issue here as I get packet loss to every IP traceroute I've tested. It usually takes 5-10 minutes of running pingplotter to see packet loss but it is 100% there. Re: High Jitter/Packet Loss How much packet loss is considered acceptable by Cox? I am getting about .2% packet loss consistently which you might not be able to detect unless pinging for 10+ minutes. Re: High Jitter/Packet Loss Getting ridiculous packet loss today and websites take forever to load. New traceroutes below: https://imgur.com/a/7cCuxNs
