Re: I signed up 940 Mbps and typically the speed test shows less than 100Mbps. Is this a scam? Cox does not guarantee speeds. I had to file a FCC complaint and that is when they clued me in on that. So they feel they can charge you as if you were receiving 940mbps while you still never reach those speeds. Re: Remember to report Cox to the FCC Pretty sleazy of Cox to lock that original thread. I assume this one will be locked as well, but so glad I saw. I will be sharing with my neighbors. My complaint has just been submitted so fingers crossed something finally happens. Re: Remember to report Cox to the FCC Thank you! For the month of March I have had 5 days without service. Still more than a week left. I will definitely be submitting my complaint as they clearly do not care when the complaint comes from a customer. Re: why has there been so many outages in my tucson neighborhood and how come cox will not tell me? What I find interesting is they flag the outages and still charge for the day. If you know well enough to flag it you know you shouldn’t be charging since you are not providing a service. They want to squeeze as much cash out of their unsuspecting customers (likely the older) and only credit those who take the time to demand not to be charged for services they are failing to provide. Re: Another outage alll day no bad weather to blame. I want credit to my account had to drive into office today to work. Here’s an idea. Ditch Cox. They are the worst. Re: You may be experiencing impacts in your neighborhood.......what? Yep. They want to be paid, but they don’t want to provide the service. If you ask for help they say they can send a technician to see what’s the problem, but that will run you an extra $75. Pay you more to receive the services I am paying for? Makes sense. Re: Why does my internet connection drop daily? I will for sure leave once a competitor comes through. AT&T looked like they were laying cable, but they only offer 1.5 mbps here. Once they get that speed up I am gone. Cox is worthless. I have been on you guys for months close to a year with these issues and you have done nothing. You send a tech out here and he starts drilling and laying cables scattered all over the place (not neat) and jets out the door. Nothing fixed. Not only can I say that among the internet providers, but among all businesses I have ever been a customer to, you would receive the lowest satisfaction rating. Cox has displayed no motivation to help provide the service they are receiving monthly payments for. Why does my internet connection drop daily? Every few days my internet has a complete outage or I have to reset my modem (sometimes multiple times a day). I have had a tech come out and replace the cable, I have spoke to the techs over the phone, no one can help. The best they offer is for me to pay a discounted price for the day. Really? I would go to another provider, but unfortunately they are the only high speed internet provider in my area. Is there really nothing Cox can/will do to fix this so I can use the internet uninterrupted? I really don’t think I should be paying for services when Cox is failing to provide. Would you pay for a car wash just for them to hand you back the keys to your dirty car, but still demand payment?
