The only thing they do is apologias and give excuses. I have just as much ability to trouble shoot the issue as they do. Heck...I can send a signal to my TV receiver as easy as they can, or just perform a hard reset of the receiver. What a waist of a service! I had better TV reception back in the 1960s and 70s when TV was analog and you had rabbit ears to receive a signal. Cox service is a set back in technology not forward. The real issue here is, and Cox knows it, is that they have too many people on a single Node and they won't spend the money for additional nodes to resolve the issue. CHEAP! Re: Non-stop outages requiring modem reset I'm having the same issue, internet outages at least twice a day. I have to reboot my modem to get reconnected. Its obviously not the hardware in my home,COX. I pay why to much money for some third world country internet connection. Let me retract that, because there are plenty of third world countries that have better/ fast Internet then COX provides. Besides a technician is not going to solve this problem. All your technicians are good for is putting in cable, not resolving the more technical issues people have such as these OUTAGES! Re: Upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0 not getting any change in speed, slower than my plan is supposed to offer. I live in Florida, I also bought an SB6141, and NO we are not going to get what we pay for. My issue is the service lines in my hood are old and the signal leaks. Yes your signal can leak, especially on old lines. Cox knows this, i know this because one of their service personnel told me so. I have just recently have been experiencing a loss in signal my cable logs the same thing every time it happens. TLV-11 - unrecognized OID;CM-MAC=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX;CMTS-MAC=00:14:69:9e:52:e8;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0 I purposely XX the MAC Address. Not sure if its the modem or COX.
