I have a feeling they are going to make me beg for it HSC tuning adapter available? I saw in a Tivo specific forum that some people in the San Diego received a new HSC Tuning Adapter from Vecima and according to them, it seems to have fixed the issue of the the Cisco Tuning Adapter constantly rebooting. Are there any plans to start rolling these out to the Phoenix market? I have had to have my tuning adapter disconnected for over a year now because of the constant rebooting and cancelling my recordings. It would be very nice to be able to actually receive all the channels I have been paying for over a year and not receiving. I know the local Cox techs, like the one that came out to my house for this issue, claim no one else is having reboot issues but me and ton of others in a Tivo specific forum beg to differ. SolvedRe: Tuning Adapter Reboot Issue New Tuning Adapter UPDATE I had cox come out to my house last week for this issue. The tech said he knows nothing at all about any new TAs or that there is even a widespread issue of them rebooting. He replaced a long coax run I had and cleaned up some issues he saw. My TA worked great for 3 days then rebooted once, 2 days later it rebooted 3 times in a span of an hour so I disconnected it from my TiVo again so my recordings won't be screwed up. They really need to fix their communications issues, this tech I had out here claimed he would know about a new TA being rolled out and said any posts about them were all false. I don't necessarily believe him on this issue, I think he just hasn't been informed yet. I will text him tomorrow to let him know it started rebooting again. Re: Tuning Adapter Reboot Issue New Tuning Adapter UPDATE Has your Tuning Adapter stayed up? I too connected mine again after a good 6+ months of being disconnected. Mine appeared to stay up about 4-5 days before the constant rebooting started again. I too chatted with a support person and they kept insisting that the only fix to this issue is having them send me a Contour 2 box and charging me up the ying yang to rent boxes for my other TV's. I insisted I wanted my tuning adapter to be fixed since my Tivo and 5 mini's are all lifetimes so they don't cost me any extra to record and distributes cable tv to all my other tv sets. Their solution would add a good $50-$60 per month once their "free" contour 2 box was no longer free plus all the other boxes for my secondary TVs Re: Three tuning adapters blinking In my case yes. The Cox tech that out just now swapped the adapters and I am getting some channels but not all. They believe that it might be due to a new firmware they are pushing that the adapters are having issues fulling installing. He was saying they look good on their end (looking from the headend) but they don't function properly. I can see the status on the tuning adapter shows "Ready - B'cast Only" where it should only show "Ready" without the "- B'cast Only. He said they should have new ones with the correct firmware already loaded within a week, so hopefully when they come in, I can get all my SDV channels back. Re: Three tuning adapters blinking Of course, as far as I know you can't bring your own or use someone else's tuning adapters, they need to be activated/paired at the headend. Re: Three tuning adapters blinking I noticed my tuning adapter was blinking, I'm not sure how long it was happening, but it certainly could have been a week. Luckily a large majority of the channels I normally watch are not SDV, at least not in the past week. Did you get this resolved yet? I have a tech coming to my house on Thursday to take a look.
