I get a message: "The connection has timed out The server at 192.168.0.1 is taking too long to respond." Internet and TV service interruptions I'm really not sure where to ask this question since I'm having BOTH Internet and TV signal problems. When the Internet drops out, I can see the lights on my modem are flashing like it's trying to reconnect. At the same time, the TV either loses signal or a message will show on the screen, "We're having trouble on our end. This channel isn't currently available. Please try tuning away from this channel for a few seconds and then turn back to it. If that doesn't work, please try again in a few minutes". I tried all of that, but still couldn't tune it there. Once the Internet reconnects, then I need to restart the cable box, and after about 10 minutes or so, the TV will get the signal again. This happens almost every day. The cable modem and the TV are on different outlets. So, could it be the signal levels? I'm unable to access the 192.168.0.1 site. Re: Cox webmail login sending me to another site Same thing happens to me. I get that goofy page that shows up which doesn't accept my login even after clearing my cookies and site data on Firefox. Re: Can’t log in to email for last 6 hrs? I've had these same problems. I used the latest version of Firefox on my PC and cleared cookies/site data for all Cox sites. When I tried Chrome, then it worked. Changes to Webmail I use Cox's Webmail to access my email accounts when I don't have access to my computer which has my mail program on it. Recently, I noticed that there's now an ad banner on top of the menu. Why did you put this there, Cox? Isn't an ad banner on the right-side of the page enough? Why are the ad banners even there? We pay for your Internet. We shouldn't have to see any ads. Then, if I want to check another account, it used to be that I could just log out and be taken back to the login page. Now, I see a different ad and have to click "Back to sign in". Why is Cox doing this? I want the old site back! It was so much cleaner and worked better. Sound has gone out and bar appears on picture On my Contour box, it seems that no matter what channel I select, I see a dark vertical bar on the left side of the screen and there's no sound at all. I've tried rebooting it from within the menu on the box and also did the online reset. Neither solved the problem. How do I get this problem fixed? I know it's not a problem with my TV because I can view a channel on the antenna without any problems. Error code when forwarding emails I've been trying to forward emails which are about something that I ordered to someone, but I keep getting a rejection error which says: "message rejected. Refer to Error Codes section at www.cox.com/.../email-error-codes.html for more information. AUP#CXSNDR" Why? The emails that I'm trying to forward aren't spam and the email address that I'm trying to send to is valid. Cox, please fix this! Re: Pick up phone modem from the Cox store? I received the same letter and yep, it says Oct. 23rd. From what I've read on other posts, you have to schedule a time for a Cox technician to come out and install it. I guess it needs to be professionally installed. Questions about upgrading to digital phone service I've received lots of letters (and finally an email) about upgrading to digital phone service. Am I one of the last who hasn't upgraded yet or are there others who also haven't done it yet? Right now, I can have more than 2 different phones hooked up, but my understanding is that with the new eMTA or WiFi modem, I can only have 2. Is that correct? I think they should also be within a short distance from each other, not on 2 different floors. Is it even possible to get hooked up with more than 2 voice ports using the new digital equipment options? Also, how long do the batteries last? Thanks!
