I'll try the power-cycle method when I get home later. The DVR model I have is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD. I read a old article that my DVR model doesn't support what I'm trying to do. Could that be the issue? Setting up DVR remotely not working I was under the impression that I could set up my recording times to my DVR remotely. Through the COX website, when I select the "record now" button, I receive the following error message: "No Response from DVR" The website lets me name my DVR recorder under the manage DVR menu but that is about it.
