Personally I believed the issue was in Fortnite, the game I play the most, however the issue persisted in games to the likes COD Modern Warfare and CSGO with both suffering from high ping and packet loss. Re: Atrocious packet loss with no fix and constant blame towards AWS servers yeah but the issue is with cox itself. I believe the update will only lower the packet loss, but anything over 1-2% is bad Re: Atrocious packet loss with no fix and constant blame towards AWS servers Yeah I heard about that but I was curious as to why this issue persists in only cox and not other isps. Like all the big streamers don’t seem to be getting any packet loss. Re: Atrocious packet loss with no fix and constant blame towards AWS servers it wasn'tletting me post the video: here it is:drive.google.com/open(Make sure to watch the top left corner and play at 1080p so you can actually read the numbers.) Atrocious packet loss with no fix and constant blame towards AWS servers I do not know how to explain this any better. The packet loss here is unplayable. I'm going to keep this very simple by saying: 1. I love to game. 2. I love to stream my gameplay. 3. It's impossible. Please don'twaste my time by asking for stupid tracer routes etc. because we all already know the issue is in your service. It can't possibly be a personal issue when there are hundreds of people on this forum with the same problem. Just type in the search bar: Packet loss while playing fortnite. Things I have already attempted: New high-end gaming router. New modem New LAN cable New $2000 PC (To ensure there is no problem in my equipment.) What's interesting is the fact that upon using a VPN, my packet loss was absolutely gone. Hmm, I wonder if this supports the fact that the issue is in the service itself. I would simply play with the VPN, but the problem is that of course, it causes high ping. Here is a video of my gameplay with just cox's service (sorry for the quality was in a rush): Let's see what COX support can cook up this time in response to my claim and I swear if this man asks me for a god *** tracer route or ping plotteragain..... I guess I'll just have to change ISP's. Re: need help contacting cox That’s not going to help. The problems in itself are within the service. For example on my thread all you did was ask for tracerroutes which are obviously fine. The problem is with your god *** AWS collaboration. You need to fix how you guys work with them. Major games today like Fortnite and apex legends run off AWS and if you can’t offer good connection to them simply make a big sign on your site saying: NOT FOR GAMERS. And give the man a HIGHER LEVEL email. He doesn’t have time to communicate with 100 more bots. Re: Terrible packet loss while playing and streaming all video games using Gigablast So what am I supposed to do? My friends use cox too and play on the same servers yet they don’t seem to be having issues. I need someone to help me with this. You are just telling me what your whole company has already told me. If it’s not a cox issue, whose is it? Re: Terrible packet loss while playing and streaming all video games using Gigablast Agreed man honestly they fix it for a day from their system and the next day POOF! But my question to u is. How do they deal with these streamers, etc, whose life earnings are based on internet? Re: Terrible packet loss while playing and streaming all video games using Gigablast yeah I thought about that, but the router I had before this, an asusnighthawk, still had packet loss but yes your logic makes sense. Re: Terrible packet loss while playing and streaming all video games using Gigablast so since Ihave panoramic I technically have no modem since the modem is in the router itself. But, here is an attached pic of my tracertfor fortnitefor example:
