Its just when gaming im getting 1-5% packetloss on download and upload on fortnite. The only way to fix it is to run a Speedify VPN while playing. Re: (GAMING) We need a plan of action — Upstream Packet Loss (COX Com ISP) I have the same problem I’m getting terrible packet loss on both upstream and downstream.. Cox Network is a joke Re: detected suspicious activity ... or not This happened to me when I was torrenting from thepiratebay. Re: I think I found a solution for Twitch Streaming dropping frames I agree with you. They need to upgrade their entire network. They would rather give us all a run around than to escalate the problem. If everyone is having the same exact issue there has to be something wrong on the network. Now I can’t play fortnite without using that speedilfy program. Gaming has not been that smooth for me in awhile. I think I found a solution for Twitch Streaming dropping frames So every since about 2 Months ago Live streaming for me has had me ripping my hair out. I tried upgrading to gigablast mainly for the 5MB upload increase coming from the ultimate package. I tried 2 different routers. I tried a Netgear r7000 with both DDWRT and OpenWrt firmware with my streaming device set as MAX priority for bandwidth and that would not fix OBS dropping frames. I even bought a higher end Netgear xr500 and tried port prioritizing twitch streaming ports and would still drop frames. I tried streaming from a VPN that didn’t help. I tried directly from my Arris SB8200 that didn’t help. So finally I stumbled across this switch Netgear made strictly for Gaming/Live Streaming. It’s called an Netgear s8000. I got it for $80. I never used a switch before so I was hesitant to buy it. So I tried it out and I have yet to drop a frame now. My setup is Arris SB8200 > Netgear XR500 > Netgear s8000. I streamed for a entire hour at 3500kbps no frame drops. I even tried youtube at 9000kbps for 30min and no frame drops. On Obs I see the light turn yellow for a sec but it goes back at green. I have yet to see the red light that I used to get. This thing is a life saver. But fortnite is still seeing avg 5% packet loss on upload. I tried a program called speedily to fix that problem. But it ** that you have to get all this equipment just for your service to work right. So if you can’t find anything to fix your frame drops when live streaming and you have a extra $80 to spend try it out guys.🙂 Heres a stream over an hour at 3500kbps 0.0% frame dropshttps://ibb.co/RjwPDnk Re: Slow Upload Speeds; Trying to Stream on Twitch I have this same problem. Speedtest.net tests are inaccurate for me. I get 700-900/38 on speedtest.net. There’s a Speedtest websitehttps://speedof.meit gives you real connection speed. And I pay for Gigablast 1000/35 and on the website I max out at 500/8. I had my modem ran to a Netgear xr500 router which is high end and I always dropped frames when streaming at anything over 2500kbps. This problem started for everyone when they started to deploy the gigablast to almost everyone. Re: Las Vegas - Severe Upload Packet Loss I’m having the same problem. And a lot others as well. I have the 1000/35 plan I I have fortnite packetloss strictly on the upload. And I drop frames while streaming to YouTube/twitch with any bitrate over 2500kbps. I’m paying for 35mb upload and can’t even use it without problems. The support here will just give you a runaround with check splitters, connect directly to modem, we will send a tech out to check your line, send a ping plotter. I’m currently looking for another place to stay because I do a lot of gaming/streaming online and Cox seems to be horrible for it. And cox is my only ISP where I live. Re: Packet loss in Fortnite and Twitch/Youtube Live Streaming Very UNSTABLE I didn’t fix it completely. I’m still experiencing packet loss on fortnite strictly on the upload speed. But I can now stream again with no frame drops. All I did was use a different cable outlet in my apartment. The one I was using had a female to female connector on it. The one I’m using now is a rg6 going straight from the cox box outside my apartment into my wall through a gromment. Re: Packet loss in Fortnite and Twitch/Youtube Live Streaming Very UNSTABLE Thanks for the reply. I think I finally found part of my problem. I tried a different cable outlet in my apartment. The one I’m using now runs straight into the wall thru a grommet. I streamed for two hours at 3500kbps and I dropped 0 frames this time. OMG. After three weeks of dropping frames I STREAMED FOR TWO HOURS WITH NO FRAME DROP. But I am still experiencing packet loss to fortnite servers Both east and west servers. I will post a pingplotter after I get off work. Packet loss in Fortnite and Twitch/Youtube Live Streaming Very UNSTABLE I have been a cox customer for the last 5-6 Months I have the 300/30 plan and I had little problems with live streaming to youtubewith 9000kpbs. It used to drop a little frames here and there. Now the problem is horrible it started happening like 3 weeks ago. Ive been ripping my hair out testing different things on my end. I upgraded to the Gigablast thinking docsis 3.1 would help with upload but I got 35mb upload now. My download is perfectly fine. But now I cant stream at all. I tried even using 2500kbps bitrate and I STILL DROP FRAMES. What is up with my upload now? I never seen fortnite losing packets. I avg now 5% packet loss only on my UPLOAD!. Its uplayable. I KNOW FOR A FACT ITS NOT MY HARDWARE. Its on COX end. I Tried using modem directly and both problems happens independently I have a expensive setup. SPEEDTESTS ARE LYING TO ME!
