Also Ben, I had a tech come out this morning. My problem with upload magically fixed itself and started working right before he was scheduled to be here. An hr after he left, my upload issues began again. I’ve recorded all test speeds, times and dates. Hi Ben. No there is no splitters. I also posted incorrect. This started back in October 2018. I live in northwest Arkansas and I’m an Xbox gamer. October 2019, Last year, after cox did maintenance, I talked in person and by phone with cox and Microsoft for hours/months over my gaming console reading 3 mb/s upload yet I pay for 30mbs upload. Cox blamed Microsoft, and vice versa. I finally gave up. Spring of 2020 cox did maintenance again and my upload was finally back. Now, it’s October of 2020 and cox just did maintenance again, and for the past 2 weeks my console is back to the 3mbs upload or less during prime hours “evening”. I have records of all of this. I spoke with a guy named Ron at Microsoft’s yesterday that said there was a fix and an IT group set up for this fix. However he said I had to be at my console to adjust setting and I was at work so I called back today and spoke with 2 different Microsoft techs, and both acted as the others have saying it’s an isp firewall/port issue. I need to apologize to cox forum moderator’s for my wrongful accusations. I just got off the phone with Microsoft and on October 12, 2018 they sent out a bad system update that negatively effected networking of both Xbox one s and one x. Microsoft now has a team set up specific for this issue. Call Microsoft, get transferred to their IT group, change your console settings, get it fixed. I just got off the phone with Microsoft. This issue seems to be isolated with cox. I don’t care who did what, I just want a fix. I have been told be them that port 80 is required to be open both inbound and outbound, yet you guys have port 80 blocked. You have claimed it has been this way for 4 years. Why would this issue not be seen with other ISP’s like it is here if it was a Microsoft issue? This issue started in the middle of October 2018. Can you guys at cox not take an Xbox one s or one x and hook it up to your network and see what we customers are talking about? What I know for sure is my internet dropped dramatically in October to 19 down and 0.1 up, and 3 hours later at 7 pm central the internet came back with this upload issue to my consoles. Microsoft did not do a system update on this day. I ran tests with my console at the local cox store in town with it showing the same issue on your gigablast. Kevin, I have this exact same issue and have posted many times on this. Again, what I have done: -port forwarding -dmz -new wiring -checked firmware to make sure it’s updated -5 new modem/routers (arris and netgear) -new consoles -I even turned off my firewall to run test i pay for 300 down and 30 up. I get 1-3 up on both Xbox one s, one x, and all of my friends in NW Arkansas who own Xbox get the same 1-3 up. That’s over 40 of us. It doesn’t matter if you have the gigablast which I tried, 50 down 5 up plan, or 100 down 10 up plan, you will never go above 3Mb/s up on Xbox. This started in October 2018. Please find a fix, and if this has anything to do with net neutrality please be honest and say so, so I can downgrade my plan. My Xbox is my gaming, my television, and some internet surfing entertainment. My gaming and twitch streaming has been negatively effected with some being unplayable at times. How many issues do you need cox before you will help all of your Xbox owning customers fix this?! Can you guys not hook up an Xbox on you’re network at your store and see this issue? It doesn’t matter how old or new the console is. This issue will be on ALL xbox consoles with cox. Please fix this. Like I and everyone else has stated, it started around the third week in October of 2018. Get a ticket opened for a tier 3, look at the network updates done in October, find the issue, fix the issue.
