Re: Cox has marked my email server as a spammer - how to resolve? By the way here is link to some good reference on their error codes Email Error Codes Re: Cox has marked my email server as a spammer - how to resolve? Have the same issue at my employer where I am the I.T. Coordinator. This (421 #CXCNCT) error is not due to a 'blacklist' block, but due to too many concurrent connections being attempted. Cox tells me it is a Siteground configuration issue and Siteground says it is a Cox issue. Now at first I was thinking it may have been caused by staff sending out 'group' emails even though they were adhering to the <40 recipients in a group rule. However I have tested myself by trying to send a single email from my work accounts ( I have 3) to my home @cox.net account and get the error about 80% of the time. The annoying part is it sometimes takes 2 to 3 days to get the bounce back message from Cox. Too make things even more interesting, in many cases I (and others) actually receive the emails that Cox's server is saying failed to be delivered. HIGH Uncorrectables (10's of millions) on several channels and intermittent lag I have the 300/30 internet package and has been great until a couple weeks ago Always got over 300 down and 30-35 up. Past couple weeks noticed occasional slowness with websites loading and drop in speed test results (wired) on the downstream (average about 250Mbps sometimes lower) . Tried connecting PC direct to modem and no change. Checked modem status page (Arris TM3402A) noted that 12 of the 32 channels in the downstream were showing uncorrectables in the 10's of millions and a few in the 100's of millions. In the past have always had very few (under 50-100 ) on any channel at all. Also noted that Downstream Power levels that always were in the +/- 1.5 dBmV range were now in the -2.0 to -5.5 dBmV range. Tried resetting modem as well and after a day uncorrectables back to the 10's of millions. unique favorites Just came back to Cox for TV and have the contour 2 in living room and two boxes in bedrooms. Is there a way to have unique 'Favorites' on each box ? I really do not want to see the kids favorites on the master bedroom receiver and they are not really interested in seeing HGTV, Fox News, etc on their receiver. Re: Favorites Button on Contour remote Thank you for the tip, but this is not what I am looking for. If I am watching say 'HBO' and want to quickly jump to a favorite I would like this to be an option while also having the option to view the entire 'Free To Me' guide should I go to the guide. Favorites Button on Contour remote So just came back to Cox after several years with another provider. Get everything installed and save some favorite channels and then come to find that it is like a 6 step process to bring up your favorites list . Come on folks, how hard is it to enable a button on the remote to jump right to your favorites list. How about the UP button (just above OK) like Dish and DirecTV do, or one of the A,B,C,D buttons Re: Cable modems and telephone service Currently have the Arris 502G / CX8 and I had received the same message ('Cox Pop-up') a week ago. Clicked the included link, placed the order for the modem upgrade and after submitting the order received a message that a "Cox representative will contact you shortly to confirm your order". Never heard from any one and have not received an upgraded (DOCSIS 3.0) modem. Is some one going to contact me or is the modem just going to be shipped? If just being shipped, how long does this take? I am hoping this will solve the issue we have been experiencing lately of internet and phone service dropping out. Happens a few times a day now and can last from a minute to 10-15 minutes.
