Also "blackeneth" indicates he's using IMAP for email. Most if not all the problems discussed in this topic refer to POP receiving problems mostly on Macs. Sad that COX has done nothing to explain or address this issue and like so many issues, this one will probably die here as well, forcing affected users to either switch to IMAP or change their email clients. I've been using POP since opening my Cox accounts many years ago and I'm very upset that for some "mysterious" reason, COX has done something on their end to prevent Microsoft Outlook Mac users from RECEIVING email on POP. There doesn't seem to be a problem SENDING email on POP from Outlook Mac, though. It would serve those customers who are affected by this, if Cox would consider their customers and either fix this or at least explain what happened and why. Re: Outlook for Mac Email problem after Cox maintenance The problem occurs in both Outlook 2011 for Mac and Outlook 2016 for Mac since 12/5/2019 and as far as I can see, COX does not allow receiving POP email. I don't think this has anything to do with what "changes" COX claims to have made sometime back in April 2019. I use both Microsoft Outlook 2011 and 2016 on my Mac and I can't receive using either one with POP. I spent a long time in the chatroom. The agent kept trying to upsell me to a support protection plan-Cox Complete Care. He couldn't help me.
