Again We had a technician out today who verified noise on the main line - It's gotten worse since, currently hovering around 3-5%. Hopefully we'll see some results soon, since we're losing money each day that this goes on. Re: Internet jittery and broken for days... Again Well that's just the thing, the issues might seem 'minor' to those around us. For everyday internet surfing and video watching, it's not too bad. For livestreaming out of the house, it's completely untenable. Re: Internet jittery and broken for days... Again It becomes incredibly frustrating being asked to try the same things over and over again as though the results will be different. This is a recurring problem in the area, and bypassing the router will show the same thing as each time we've done so for Cox support in the past. Humor me here, assume it's the main line that's the problem, since we're in a poor neighborhood where the lines aren't maintained, and where we've had to fight with technicians for months at a time to get anything done. It appears clear right at the moment btw, I'm hoping that by some miracle something got fixed, but I'm not holding my breath. Internet jittery and broken for days... Again Internet is currently showing between 0.5 and 2% packet loss, all up and down the line, at all times and has been this bad since Tuesday. We don't want too call customer service because it will probably initiate another year-long battle where Cox's bureaucracy sends out a tech who refuses to do any checking beyond insisting that it must be our equipment, rinse, repeat, until finally someone who happens to be willing to listen comes out, reports that the main line is damaged, and it finally gets fixed. The last time this happened it took well over a YEAR before it was finally fixed (And, big shock, our equipment was working fine). This is beyond exasperating, we need a clean line to do our jobs, which involves livestreaming, and can't be done even remotely decently with service this poor. Maintain the lines. Do not delete this post like you have in the past. I am not breaking any rules. SolvedRe: Your upload speed is unacceptable trash. The computers we stream on are wired up to the router in a usual way. The issue is not with our hardware. Have a look at this pingplotter screenshot. This is the sort of s-t we're dealing with over 30% packet loss. When it gets bad our upload speed tests show anywhere between 0.03 and 1.30 mbps. I will not be getting in touch with you over Facebook or Twitter, partially because I'm not on those services, but mostly because I think being publicly shamed is the only way a conglomerate ever does anything to help it's customers. To that end, my viewership is well aware that Cox Communications is the reason why our streams are sometimes very buffering-heavy or have needed to be cancelled or cut short. Your upload speed is unacceptable trash. I stream on Twitch to supplement my income. Between the hours of 7:30 and midnight (primetime hours, and the only time I can be live because of my dayjob) it's a coin flip whether your upload speed will be usable. During my stream tonight I dropped in the ballpark of 10,000 frames over the course of five minutes. That is the same as not streaming. You are messing with my money. We have had techs out to the house every couple weeks over the course of the last three months (as we did the LAST time we dealt with this issue last year) and none of them can see our packet loss because it doesn't start until after 7, and none of your techs are out that late. If I had literally any other option in my neighborhood I would switch to them instantly, because your entire company isbad, and you are keeping me from being able to perform.
