With the lockdowns still in effect across the country will the data cap lift be extended farther out? And if not how will I be charged if I'm over 1TB, my cycle ends on the 17th, and the data cap comes back in place on the 15th? Information past May 15th. Hey, so your announcement says that data caps are lifted till May 15th. So my data cycle is on the 17th of every month. So if I use 1010gb of data from april 18th, till may 15th and then use another 75gb between the 15th and 17th. That would be 1085gb total, which is over the 1024 allowed. Will this be billed as overage since by the 17th the temporary lift will be over, or will it only count as 50gb towards my total? Lets say I use 1200gb by the 15th, and then another 50gb on the last two days? What will count as over and what won't be over? Any clarification on certain scenarios that may happen? Re: Is Cox going to compete with other ISPs by removing bandwidth restrictions? So no,you're not going to do the same thing every other ISP is doing. Good, Nice to know the monopoly isn't affecting you at all. Re: Lifting Data Cap Covid-19 I know the popular thing is to hate on comcast. But they at least got the message and have spent the last decade fixing every issue, and in my opinion and experience has become one of the strongest/best ISPs and they always are the first to reach out during emergencies to do things positive for their service. Just my .02 Is Cox going to lift data restrictions? Cableone, Comcast, ATT, Tmobile and more have already done so. Is cox going to follow suit with this? Is Cox going to compete with other ISPs by removing bandwidth restrictions? Comcast, ATT, and Tmobile have lifted bandwidth restrictions. Anyword from a Cox representative if this will happen with you as well or will you not be competative with the other companies?
