I still have 40K plus emails in Sent Objects, but I have not had any new ones added since deleting from all OUtlook computers. Would Mail cause the aame problem? I still have my cox account on my phone, so that seems to be not causing it. Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects Can someone on your end empty the Sent Objects folder for me? This is taking awhile! Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects By the way, I seem to be makng the most headway by going to Sent Objects and choosing Select All. Then deleting via Trash Can, then emptying trash, again by using Trash Can Icon. I got it down to 1.5 out of 2. It will eventually repopulate, but it takes longer! Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects I thought I responded to this yesterday, but I'll try again. When I get rid of all messages in Sent Objects, they pop back up again after about 1-2 seconds. Shows some 49k messages in that folder. Thanks for trying. I've run out of ideas. My Cox mail is now blocked due to exceeding mailbox size. Only thing I can think of to do is to delete the account. Hate to do that, as I have had it for years. Thanks for your help on this. Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects Thanks so much for all this advice, Becky. I tried your latest trick. I clicked on Delete All Messages. Folder appears empty for about 3 seconds and then fills again with the same messages. Properties lists 43239 messages. If you can get me some help, i'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I don't see any choice but to cancel my Cox account for good. I keep getting notices of mailbox almost full, or similar. Should I close Outlook accounts for a few days and see if that affects things? Any help appreciated! Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects Thanks for clarifying Sent Objects. I just deleted more emails from Sent Objects this morning. Today it was populated with hundreds of the same email, but all with different dates of origin (none of these had the actual date of the original email.) I selected all of the items and put them in the Trash, then emptied the trash. Went back to Sent Items to find hundreds more (can't tell if they are the same as the ones I just trashed). There were also some that I had trashed the other day. So the answer is NO, it does not revert to storing emails correct. Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects Yes, that box is checked. below it says "delete message from server after one week." HOwever, I may not have made my problem clear. The problem is not with outlook; it is with Cox Webmail, where there is a folder called "Sent Objects" that does not exist in outlook. That folder is where the problem lies, as it is full of oversized multiples of old messages. Could Outlook be causing this? Panoramic Router and Apple Express/Extreme I just moved and was given a new router, Panoramic from Cox. It seems to work ok with my macbook and wifi printer, but I can't get Airport Express to show up on the network now. I use Express to connect to my receiver to play music from itunes over wifi. I have read that Panoramic is incompatible with Bonjour, but my printer is working, so I'm confused about that. Any thoughts? Thanks. Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects I have a Sent folder in Outlook (I'm using Outlook 2016 for Mac) but all is normal in that folder. Outlook is configured using POP. I wanted to configure it so that after I downloaded mail to my home computer, it would no longer be on the server. This isn't really working right either, but didn't work at all with IMAP. Re: Mailbox filling with duplicates in Sent Objects I use outlook, but I have to use Cox web mail to delete emails. The folder for "Sent Items" only shows up on cox webmail.
