Re: refund or credit I have been a customer with Cox for about 20 years. I've been having issues for six months. I pay more for my internet/cable than my Harley and I have only gotten a $15.00 credit (it hasn't even shown on my account yet). This company is getting out of hand. I feel insignificant and the customer service is horrible. I wouldn't mind paying more if my issues would be solved. I hope they treat you better. Re: Upgraded to GIGABLAST. Disconnection, slow speeds, packet loss problems. I have an overloaded node in my area as well. I have been struggling with cox for 6 months with no end in sight. I too upgraded to gigablast hoping that it would help. I think my situation with ping and packet loss got worse. Cox has sent three techs out, they all had different reasons for the issue; solar flares, coronavirus traffic and overloaded node. I went to a friends house (he has cox 150) with my laptop and gaming was perfect. I wish they could get everyone's issues fixed. I cant even game anymore, the lag makes me sick to my stomach. Re: Las Vegas: High Ping, Reduced Speeds, Packet Loss I filed a report with the FCC after useless cox techs telling me to reset my modem. I got a call from Cox Corp office and they told me to be patient. Re: Out of control line jitter I reported to the FCC as well. My rubberbanding is out of control. Cox blamed this on the game servers even though I used my phones USB tether feature and got a great connection with it. Re: Tired of Latency and Packet Loss I am in the same situation. My games are extremely laggy. Sometimes it is so bad that I feel physically sick when the rubber-banding gets really bad. I had three tech visits in the past week and a half and they told me that the node was going to be split at some point and that I should be patient. $165 per month for this is ridiculous. I am sick of getting ripped off and lied to. Re: What is the process of diagnosing a NODE issue? I am in the same exact situation. Tech supervisor told me the node was a known issue and said I should be patient. Multiplayer games are unplayable at this point. Extreme lag and packet loss on wired connection. I get a much better connection when I use my mobile phone as an internet source. Re: NV - Intermittent latency spikes and packet loss, mostly in the evening I am in the same boat. Three techs came by last week, basically did nothing then the last tech supervisor told me that the node was overloaded and has been for some time. It is scheduled to be switched but no known ETA. Re: Extreme Lag on Cox Panoramic - Wired Connection I tried resetting the modem and only having one PC connected via Ethernet, I still have the same issue. I had two more technicians come out, most recently on 3/19, turns out that everything in the house is fine, the node is scheduled to be split off to make room for everyone in the neighborhood. Tech said, "be patient" and didn't give an estimated completion date for the new node. To his defense, he wouldn't know. Connection is worse than ever now. Extreme Lag on Cox Panoramic - Wired Connection I have been a long time customer of Cox Communications in Las Vegas. I've had "high-speed" internet since Cox started offering it. I've had my fair share of issues over the years but the last 4-5 months have been absolutely terrible. I recently moved into a new to me home and wanted to opt for the wireless steaming cable boxes. Unfortunately these boxes require the Panoramic service and Technicolor modem/router. I have a wired setup for my PC that goes straight to the Panoramic modem and I am experiencing lag and packet loss at most times of the day. I have gone through the chat and phone support too many times to count. I have restarted the modem/router a couple times per day for the last month to no avail. I had a service technician come out today and he adjusted something outside as he said my levels were too low. He also blamed the weather and solar flares on the bad connection. At this point, as much as I don't want to, I am looking up pricing on Centurylink Fiber. Has anyone gotten a real solution from Cox regarding lag? Thanks, Frustrated702
