I receive the standard response re.protecting my account. Are these actually phishing attempts and if not, what triggers thrm? Re: What are the lines displayed in red in the call history? i have a page full of missed calls over the last 2 days, and only 2 are in red, so I see no evidence that this is the correct response. Re: NOMOROBO 100% ineffective so far I agree. Many repeat calls that have been reported. Have no idea if or when Nomorobo actually reads or takes action. Lost Channels Last week we had storms that created a 24 hour COX outage in parts of Fairfax, Va, Including Internet, TV, and telephone. When all service was restored, there were a bunch of channels we could no longer receive, including CNN as one example, Would get error message stating “Sorry, the program is not available at the present time.” A technician came to investigate and replaced our Contour box. This didn’t fix the problem. He did not check the green box in the front yard, nor any external wires. We have had multiple box refreshes by Cox support and by myself. No luck. Very puzzled as to why only some channels, both regular and HD, are unavailable and not others. Technician is coming back tomorrow and hopefully he will be qualified to check inside the green box. Any input would be appreciated. Outage A couple of days ago in Northern Va I experienced a total disconnect from Cox telephone and internet for several hours. Obviously I could not check the website or call customer service. I had to use minutes on my cell phone and go through the usual hoops to verify the problem. There was no menu option at Cox to quickly check for outages. Why is that? And why isn't there a dedicated landline number just for that service??
