One is the contour box (dvr) the other is the contour stream player, Xixa6 (something like that for memory). My question is does the stream player eat up data if I watch recordings form it. From what little information I have found I have see conflicting answers. Forgot they showed them on the cox site. The DVR isAX013NM the stream isPXD06AEI Contour Stream Player I went down and exchanged mycontour DVR and the mini/satellite as I was told they where outdated. When I came home I noticed the new satellite box is now a pure streaming? That isn't what I wanted. I looked it up and it said this thing used up our data cap, I get if that if you actually streaming things from like amazon prime, but what about watching recordings from the DVR, like you could the old ones, does that eat up Data too even though its been recording? To sum up, old mini/satellite could just read (from the coaxial cable) the main DVR and I could watch the DVR recordings on my old mini box. Now with this streaming how is this going to be possible (watching the recordings from my DRV on my new "streaming" and with out eating up my data? Horrible upload speeds and not so great download For the last 2 weeks, every other night my upload speeds are usually around 0.10 at the best. Making it near impossible to use the internet and impossible for any gaming. I know its not on my end as I have rest the modem a bunch, called cox support a bunch and had it reset there, and all the other typical things you do here. Besides that the first night it started cox did admit there where issues in my area and they where "Fixed". It was "fixed" for about 2 days at most and now its back to the same issues. I am taking really late at night so I doubt its from over usages/too many people using the net around here. I live in front of a junction box, I guess you call it, where the issues might be. Sure enough the speeds became better during the day. That's confusing. usually better at night causes of less people on and worse during the day. Think cox needs to check out the local junction box or something. Definitely not my PC or my modem. Better not be like this again tonight though. Schedule Conflict As of this morning all the shows I have to be recorded will not record do to aschedule conflict. This doesn't make any sense as none of the shows are airing at the same time, I have the up to 6 service, and I can't even start a new recording. I have tried rebooting/ resetting etc already. The part that showed future recordings did not show the entire list of all shows to be recorded and to make matters worse it decided to delete some of the future recordings on its own.
