ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsMissing program information For the last couple of weeks the program description has been missing from most all of the Starz channels, the Science channel and various other channels. This makes it impossible to 1, see what programs are running and 2, you can not record a program with missing information. This is very disappointing as we all pay dearly for the program information and we are not getting what we paid for. I have been getting a message to tune to a different channel as the one i was watching is no longer available. When I go to the channel it requests, I always get the same information that the programs is no longer available. Very frustrating. I will say that today, Friday morning, all information seems to be available but I wonder if that will continue. You owe each and every one of us a partial refund for the lack of missing program guide info that we pay you a lump sum or a monthly fee for it's use. Re: HSC tuning adapter available? The only negative comment I can make is that the pilot light is a very bright blue and is a bit distracting as it is next to my TiVo. I could put some vinyl tape over it but I guess it does not bother me all that much. Re: HSC tuning adapter available? I am in the Phoenix market and received two of the HSC tuning adapters for a test around the beginning of the year. It has solved the issue of the rebooting and loss of programs/programming. It is actually smaller than the Cisco version. If you are having difficulties in getting answers, I would recommend talking to the Cox executive team. A lot of information available is not always passed down to the field techs until they until all the "kinks" are worked out and it is ready for general information. Re: The program guide needs big time fixing! I can understand what Sheryl is talking about. Often, the guide is missing information that is apparently available to other program sources and is incorrect in what is actually being broadcast. It often omits information that is available but fails to display it properly often affecting programs in the season pass to fail to record. For the generous amount we pay for the programming, it should also take into effect late changes in programming due to news worthy broadcasts or games that extend beyond scheduled times. Perhaps a bit much to ask, but certainly worthy of consideration. Re: Tuning Adapter Reboot Issue New Tuning Adapter UPDATE Youneed to get one ofthe newer split frequency TA's that work very well. I have had mine for several months and it has rebooted twice in that time. Good luck in communicating with a rep on the phone as they either do not know about these new boxes or are not supposed to talk about them until they are ready for a full roll out. Re: Tuning adapter rebooting frequently It is true that Cox is introducing a new Tuning Adapter that does not constantly reboot causing loss of programming. Depending on where you are, it will most likely be rolled out in the coming months. Tuning Adapter Reboot Issue New Tuning Adapter UPDATE It's just about a month since Cox updated my Tuning Adapters with the new dual frequency adapters. In the last 30 or so days, it has rebooted twice, for a very short period of time and did not trigger the "tuning adapter not connected" on the TiVo. Other than that, it has worked flawlessly. I would imagine TiVo will be releasing the new adapters sometime in 2023 subject to availability. They have not been in touch with me to see if I have had any issues but did give me the email address of the person in charge of the issue to report any problems which I have yet to have to do. For those who asked I am in the Phoenix Metro area and the Chandler facility. Tuning Adapters Rebooting Two days ago, Cox installed two of the new high-low frequency tuning adapters to stop the constant rebooting of the old units. They are much smaller and so far have not had any issues. I would like to thank Cox for expediting the acquisition and installation of these new adapters. I understand that this is part of a test to see if they solve the issues that plagued the older TA's. I am confident that when all of the testing is complete they will roll these new units out to the customers affected by the rebooting issue subject to supply and demand. Thank you to the Executive Relations people for putting up with all my complaining over the last six months. Perhaps it did help to do so, or not, but the end result is what counts. SolvedRe: Only $99.00?? It is not acceptable that a company sell you something that they know will not be functioning with their cable company. Imagine buying a car and then find out there is no gas available for that car. Is it up to the seller to disclose you can't buy gas? Yes, it is up to the seller to disclose information like that before they sell their product. In the near future, the television broadcast technology is changing to ASTC or NextGen TV and your current television OR TiVo will not be capable of receiving this signal. This means no signal = no television. When will this happen? It is already being rolled out in a number of cities. Read between the lines. Your DVR's will no longer function along with your television. Does TiVo know this? You bet they do. Only $99.00?? I just received an email offering me a new Edge for cable TV for only $99 which is way below what I paid for it earlier this year. What I am wondering is how can you sell a device that requires a tuning adapter and a cable card when they are no longer available from our cable provider? If you can get one, it will not be new and most likely will be several years old or defective. Is this the reason that TiVo is dumping these DVR's at such a low price due to the fact that cable companies are not providing the equipment you need to make them work? Or that the fact that in the Phoenix/Las Vegas customers are having their tuning adapters reboot causing loss of program whether you are watching live or making a recording?? It will be interesting to see if you allow this post to be put online as others have not.
