I have recorded at least 20 episodes of an older series that is no longer airing, so I recorded replays to watch at a later date. .Some episodes randomly disappear for no reason. They are not deleted by me and they are not in the Recently Deleted Items. I can never get an answer other than, I just need to replace my DVR, which means I lose all of the recordings I have left. Plus, I did that once and the problem still happens. Horrible service and horrible hardware. Internal error with SMTP server I have 2 separate Cox email accounts set up in Outlook 2013. The primary email associated with my Cox account receives email just fine, but I get an error message when sending: "Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP). The server responded: 554 eastrmimpo110.cox.net too many bad commands fr" I am using the following settings for the SMTP server: server name: smtp.cox.net Box checked for outgoing server requires authentication (use same settings as incoming mail server) outgoing server 465, SSL I have a secondary Cox email account set up in Outlook at the default account to send. I use the same exact server settings as above and can send with no errors. I need to be able to send from either account, so please advise what the issue could be. Re: Outgoing Email Problems I'm using Outlook in Windows 10 and having the same problem. However, I have 2 Cox accounts set up in Outlook and both have the same settings. One of them send/receives just fine, but the other one continually prompts for the password when sending and will not send emails. So frustrating! UPDATE: I did the repair option through Outlook account settings and it updated my SMTP server to 25 with TLS enabled. I'm able to send emails now. Re: Backup DVR Sadly, there's no way to do it. I've had 3 different units and each time it's replaced I lose everything I have recorded. Problems recording HD channels with Contour I have theRecord 6 Whole Home DVR (9865HDC) along with the client receiver (4742HDC) in a separate room that is supposed to enable us to watch DVR recordings in either room. However, at least once a week, I have a show that I recorded on a HD channel that will not play on the receiver in the separate room. It will either just freeze up or tell me the recording is unable to be played. When I come back to the main unit (that is the actual DVR), that same show will usually play, however, when I try to fast-forward or rewind, the time indicator slide will not move and the screen remains frozen. If I just let the show play, it will indeed play, but there is no way to fast-forward or rewind. I'm on my 3rd unit in a year so not real excited about getting another one and having to set everything up all over again. I've also called customer support and they reset the unit, but that does not help. It's been different HD channels at different times and different days, so absolutely no pattern to when or where the error occurs. Anyone else have this problem?
