Are The Spammers On Vacation
This could be just a fluke and I might be overly optimistic. Yesterday I only received 4 spam emails. So far today I have received none. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a decrease. I did set up some filters 2 days ago, but not that many. Maybe Cox has actually found a way to kill the spam. I sure hope so.3.8KViews1like7CommentsRe: Spam

I've been doing this for 4 mos. now and I really think it is a waste of time, I've actually seen an increase in spam msgs. I then mark each msg. as spam and it moves to the spam folder. I've been having the same problem for 3-4 mos. Started out with about 2-3 a day, but now it's 24-30 every day. Now here is the real kicker. I found out that since I am the Primary User ID (my email address), I can't simply change my email address but instead I have to close out the account, and that means my wife's email address as well, and she is not receiving any spam, and create a whole new account for both of us. UPDATE I think I know whatCox does, theysell email addresses but only to legitimate customers for advertising. It is a practice that many email providers also do. However, what the advertisers do with the email addresses is beyond control of Cox.So there you have it.3Views0likes0Comments
