Cox said they can offer a all one router/ switch/ wi-fi device similar to home panoramic equipment or managed wi-fi network. What device does Cox provide as all in one small business device? CM8200A Event Log Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW;CM-MAC/ Low Speeds and Latency Is Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW;CM-MAC/ related to the signal coming from Cox through Coax or from the AC line and power cord? We bypassed the surge protector and connected directly to a wall outlet after speaking to a Cox tech but we're seeing the same errors. These errors are just from today! We’re seeing very low upload speed under 5 Mbps to 2-3 Mbps, and 60-80 Mbps down or a little more but see latency where files are slow to download and extremely slow to upload, streaming content dropping out/ pixelating or freezing up. Internet is consistently slow the streaming dropping out/ freezing/ pixelating is intermittent and mostly occurs in the evening. We’ve tested with a laptop hardwired to the modem, tried a couple of different patch cords, and see the same issue when hardwired to the modem. We're on the 150/ 10 plan. We have RG11 from the utility closet through the attic to are next to the modem. A Cox tech split the RG11 with one side going to the voice modem the TM3402, and the other side to data modem SB8200 using RG6. The splitter has RG11 coming in and two RG6 lines going to the modems. We tried both a Tripp Lite Isobar surge and a Furman Power Station and had electrician check home wiring and coax cable line. We also tried other outlets but the issue persists. We'd be very happy if Cox stopped sending defective refurb boxes for 2012, 2014, and 2015. New firmware for Arris SB8200 effected by Kr00k? Is the Arris SB8200 effected by Kr00k? Our SB8200 is Hardware Version 6 and Software Version AB01.01.009.27_081619_183.0A.NSH. Is there new firmware to address Kr00k? The source of the bug lies in the Wi-Fi chips, but, it can be mitigated through software or firmware updates. www.welivesecurity.com/.../ESET_Kr00k.pdf Cox Mini Box Cisco DTA250 pixelation and tiling and running hot Cox send out refurbs that don't work Have had our Cisco mini box replaced a few times butCox keeps sending out refurbs that don't work. The most recent one is a DTA250-COX-K9 from 2016. We getpixelation and tiling and it runs hot. The AC adapter/ power cord runs 88-90 degrees when idle and the mini box runs 90-92 degrees when idle. When running the adapter/ power cord is 92 or so degrees and the box runs 98-100 degrees or more. All other AC adapters/ power cords run at 78-80 degrees at idle and while running. Other devices run about 68-70 degrees around the ambient temperature when idle and around 75-85 degrees when running. No other devices runs as hot as the Cox mini box. The other deices area a Roku Ultra, Nvidia Shield Pro, and audio receiver. Cox mini box has plenty of room to breathe and is on an elevated and vented metal platform. Measured using a Fluke 62 Max + a very accurate IR temp gun. Cox have any new non refurb mini boxes that work? Does Cox ever send out new non refurb mini boxes that work? Mine never works properly and the replacements have the same problems. Cox tech has checked home wiring and ruled that out but I still get mini box issues and signal not available issues. photos.app.goo.gl/uuWcCdwcqD6Wqqd57https://photos.app.goo.gl/uuWcCdwcqD6Wqqd57 Arris Surfboard CM8200/ SB8200 vs Motorola MB8600 Can anyone confirm that the CM8200 andSB8200 are identicalwith the exception of the CM beeing the carrier version and the SB the retail version? And is there any reason to consider theMotorola Zoom MB8600 oer the CM8200/ SB 8200?Both are using the Broadcom BCM3390 chipset and not an Intel’s Puma 6 or 7 with the latency bug. Planning to shop the CM8200 that's $180 from Cox vs the SB8200 that you can find for a little less. Cox Business Internet Service Speeds and Cap in San Diego Setting up a work from home office and looking at Cox Business Internet - 50 50x10 Mbps vs upgrading to the residential 300x30 Mbps plan? Need a reliable 10 Mpbs up vs the 6-7-8 Mpbs up we get with residential residential 150x10 Mbps plan. Is the Business plan any more reliable or closer to advertised speeds? Business .50 Mbps and 1 voice line 50x10 Mbps is $99.00/mo with a 36 month agreement vs residential residential 300x30 Mbps that's $99.00/mo plus cost of phone. Company will reimburse up to $75 mothly for home office internet phone. Like to stay around $100 a month plus taxes and Business 200x20 plus phone would put use close to $200. Cox IPv6 San Diego Does Cox have IPv6 rolled out in San Diego?Running https://test-ipv6.com/ on Firefox and Chrome shows No IPv6 address detected. Changed Firefox "network.dns.disableIPv6". value to "True" and can't find a way to set Chrome forIPv6 It does sayyour browser has a real working IPv6 address. The question i have has Cox rolled out IPv6, and if so,how can I get Firefox and Chrome to useIPv6. Running Cox preferred150Mbps/ 10Mbps,ARRIS / Surfboard TM3402 DOCSIS 3.1 32x8, Asus RT-AC86U. Re: Can you recommend a modem for preferred 150? ARRIS Surfboard SB6183 16x4 DOCSIS 3.0 and CM8200/ SB8200 DOCSIS 3.1 32x8 (Cox sells one retailers sell other) both use Broadcom chips. I'd buy the CM8200/ SB8200 with DOCSIS 3.1 even for Cox's 150 Mbps/ 10 Mbps plan. SB6183 will save you money now but you'll eventually want a DOCSIS 3.1 modem..
