(Gainesville, FL) So my node could desperately use some more upload channels and potentially some more availability due to it being crowded. Any idea where I can find out if and when we are due for a split or an upgrade? Re: Gigablast Speed way below Expected in Northern Virginia The Macs don't really have the same issues the Windows computers do when it comes to the network adapters. That being said it is possible to add and remove the connection in the Network area in System Preferences. So if you don't mind me asking what exactly is the topology of your network? It goes from Modem to router directly to the laptop? Does it make a difference when you plug directly into the modem? Re: Does Cox support Link Aggregation? Ok, but what about for LAG and if my router supports it? Will it still feed internet through to the second port for Link Aggregation? Re: Gigablast Speed way below Expected in Northern Virginia Try runningNet Adapter Repair AIOto reset your network adapter to it's default settings and see if that fixes it. Sometimes those adapters can get hung up on one particular speed and they never change until you fully reset them. That will reset everything. Does Cox support Link Aggregation? Hi So on my Arris SB8200, there is a setting for Link Aggregation. My router also supports it and so does my computer. But Cox states on their website only one of the ethernet ports on the modem can be used. Even with the firmware does Cox support LAG? Re: Gigablast Speed way below Expected in Northern Virginia Does your laptop have a Gigabit ethernet adapter? Is a fix for cable haunt still being worked on? Hi, I notice it's still been a few months and there hasn't been any fix for the cable haunt vulnerability for many modems. My Arris SB8200 is still runningAB01.01.009.27_081619_183.0A.NSH which is a older firmware which is still vulnerable. Arris has released the firmware update to fix this but Cox has not submitted this update to user's modems. Any reason why? https://cablehaunt.com/ Dynamic Range Window violation and "RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW So I have a Arris SB8200, and it seems this kinda thing always happens this time of year. The drop line has been replaced twice in 3 years. Which leads me to believe it's something at the plant or not too far down the road as the configuration of our home network including the router and modem have been the same and have not moved since the tech installed and provisioned them. Doing this fixes it for a while and then it all goes out of whack, usually because the tech files a report to have a plant mechanic come out and look at everything and they fiddle with the node at the end of the street and that fixes it. When I see power levels this high https://imgur.com/a/9AYSJeF https://imgur.com/uLGfLLV And log files that look like this: https://imgur.com/E10yaYS It's kinda concerning that this is a repeat thing and that the logs are showing it's repeating over and over.
