EVERY day the service goes out for my entire neighborhood and outages show on the account page. Lasts anywhere from an hour to 6 hours. It is not my connection it is a whole neighborhood/ city wide issue. Every other post on Nextdoor is all about Cox outages. Can someone please help me to flag a larger issue than just the same **? Resetting my modem will not help a city wide issue. I can’t even talk to an agent because it will not connect me if an outage is present. This is in New Orleans. Please help! Around Aug 1. several days of outages (outage showing on account page) and when it comes back it's spotty and inconsistent. SOMETHING has gone wrong on COX's end and we are all paying the price. Re: Intermittent Internet Problems I am using a mix of speedtest.net, a pack loss tool on the internet and an internet quality test my company developed for our cloud contact center offering in AWS. When my internet goes south, all those tests tell me the same information. High latency, terrible upload, and between 7-12% packet loss. Re: Intermittent Internet Problems Internet was fine this morning until 5 minutes before i’m supposed to run an online meeting. All devices in my home are affected. Direct to modem gets same results. Right now my upload is between .18 and 2.1 with high packet loss. I cannot keep this service if this cannot be corrected. Re: Intermittent Internet Problems kevinm Can you elaborate a little on your comment about the demarc?? Is this something the tech would have done on his visit, because if so, he did nothing outside. His truck pulled up, he came straight in, tested at the modem, declared there were no problems, got in his truck and left. He did nothing else. My upload right this second is hovering around 3 Mbps and i’m getting 10% packtloss. Re: Intermittent Internet Problems Yes, when the problems happen, I have done direct to the modem and it is still messed up. When it goes bad, it is really bad, and unfortunately it was fine when the tech came out yesterday, but I feel they should have at least checked outside lines, etc. There has to be something else we can do??? Re: Intermittent Internet Problems kevinm2 Just had a tech out for a service apt. Of course my internet has been perfect all day and he he ran tests at the modem, declared everything fine and left. No line checks, didn't check outside, nothing. Can i please get some help here??? Like I said, it has been fine all day, but yesterday was TERRIBLE. Upload at like 1-2 Mbps when the test would actually run. Conference calls I was on was so bad, no one could hear me, and my screenshares were so laggy they were useless. I work from home, so if this cannot be a reliable service, I will have to go somewhere else. Intermittent Internet Problems kevinm2 I have been getting almost daily intermittent issues with internet. Upload goes to ** and just really unstable connection. Will resolve itself in a couple hours usually. Before I go through the hassle of scheduling a service appointment, can you please check to see if there is any noise issues, or something else you can point out on your end?? Thank you!
