Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall Running Windows Network Diagnostics ERR_TIMED_OUT ALL other URLs are reachable. Permissions somewhere? COX? Windows7? Chrome? Watch tv online link times out The link tohttps://watchtv.cox.com/ times out with: This site can’t be reached watchtv.cox.comtook too long to respond. This was happening for a few weeks then the link worked for the past few days. Now it times out again. What's up? For security reasons you have been logged out after too many minutes of inactivity. Can I control the amount of inactivity time accepted before auto log out? Or better yet can I just tell COX to removed this usage limiting parameter from MY account? I wish to NEVER auto logout. I can handle it... SB6141 - 3 upload channels not 4 - WHY not 4? Modem connected and working. Status page shows 3 bonded upstream channels. Shouldn't there be 4? WHY not 4... Is webmail down? I get a blank screen Is webmail down? I get a blank screen Re: Thunderbird mail client & IMAP = no longer connecting Thanks for checking your end. The spinning has stopped as of this mornings login to the mail account via Thunderbird. Glitch? Aliens? Not sure... I'll come back if it happens again. Close thread... Jim Thunderbird mail client & IMAP = no longer connecting Yesterday it worked fine - has been for a few months. Today I open the application (Thunderbird) and I get the spinning circle of WAIT WAIT WAIT! Nothing ever happens. Cannot receive mail but I can send mail but I receive an error "can't be copied to sent mail folder". Checked all the settings = OK Can use COX webmail to see new email = YES Troubles with IMAP on your end? Please advise... Jim Re: Thunderbird mail client - IMAP login fails I checked my settings and I meet specs for an IMAP connection. This is the error I get : Login to server imap.cox.net failed This seems to happening more frequently. But it does come and go. Reading others posts on the forum I see I am not alone and other client software is showing a failure. Consequently maybe this failure is something on the COX side NOT the client side? Webmail access does work but I did just notice that when the client fails and I go to webmail I get a webmail blank screen and the wait indicator. Close up the client wait a few minutes and webmail works. I just now opened the client back up and all is well NOW! And webmail behaves normally. Please look into this on the Cox side of things - I can't imagine that multiple client software is failing. The common denominator seems to be COX. Again, it's becoming really annoying and I'm beginning to feel that the Cox email service is unreliable. Thanks Thunderbird mail client - IMAP login fails I was having the same problem of intermittent login failures with a pop connection so I switched over to an IMAP connection. Still experiencing the login failures on an intermittent basis. It's becoming very annoying especially since the IMAP needs to sync all the folders, etc. I'll be OK one minute and then I suddenly get the login failure message. Is there anything y'all can suggest to make this connection more reliable? Is it Thunderbird? Please advise Jim SolvedSB6141 - 3 upload channels not 4 I have a new SB6141 connected and working. The status page shows 8 download channels bonded but ONLY 3 upload channels bonded. Should there not be 4 upload channels? My last DOCSIS 3.0 (DPC3010) showed the full 8 X 4 channels bonded. Jim
