I' ready to go someplace else for service. Can't even contact them. Re: Email - Saving Messages sent/folders I have created another sent mail folder so now I have 3 and they each save mail so I just take them out and put them in my related Outlook Data folder. No, the Spam web folder does not show up on my outlook mail. I have outlook 2010. I didn't have any problems until this recent change. Today I got on another home computer to download a file from an email that could only be printed from that computer. when I returned to my laptop, EVERY inbox email was gone....it was empty. It was still on my phone so I have resent them. I use my phone, my tablet, laptop and desktop for mail. I have been checking webmail lately to see what I may be missing with all of these. I have my tablet set that I only delete the emails from the tablet, and not on the server. However, I wonder what happens with the syncing of all these devices? If the email doesn't appear on my tablet, does it disappear when I log onto my laptop? I don't know what Unified Mail means in the IMAP section -- but I don't seem to be able to make changes there. I had changed all my accounts from POP to IMAP. Perhaps I should just go ahead and change them back since I'm having so much problems since making that change. Email - Saving Messages sent/folders Since the new cox email "system" started I've been unable to save my messages to Outlook 2010 Sent Mail folder -- it worked fine previously. Mail does get sent and I did see it in a Sent Mail file, but it immediately just disappeared out of the file. I'm finding them on the cox website as I had it set a few weeks back to save all my sent mail to that folder but in Outlook--No. Also, I had Sent Items, Sent Mail, Sent items, SentMail, Sent Objects....folders. I unsubscribed some and was able to delete in Outlook. I still can't delete on the website and can't seem to unsubscribe any of the folders. Don't know where all of these come from. In Outlook, I cannot change the file to which sent mail is sent. It defaults to Sent Mail. Then there's the Spam folder - which seems to be different than my Outlook spam folder - I had messages from family on the Cox webmail spam folder -- not in any other spam folder. I found it much easier to control my mail under the old system -- guess because I am old. I shouldn't have to read a manual to do simple tasks. Re: Immediate Action Required ??? I have a Motorola modem, Cisco router, and cordless phones. I definitely don't want to add to the monthly cost for services I have now, which are minimal but still cost me in excess of $200 a month. Every time a change is made, there are additional fees. Digital TV meant I have to pay for additional mini-boxes for each tv. Cox has upgraded without me asking for it, but I have to pay more. I looked into other VOIP providers -- which is much cheaper than Cox phone service -- but I did not want my phone service to be determined whether I had internet service or not. Admittedly it has been stable, but when it crashes, we have no phone. Whereas, currently we would still have service. And cox wants to charge us $30 for a battery just in case of power outage. Again, upgrade whether you want to or not, but we still have to pay. And I have no choice unless I switch provider. My current in-house phone line is nowhere close to any cabling. So when I schedule my upgrade, do I need to select any equipment? I don't want another modem but it appears that when I go online to update I'm asked to select one. Re: Data Caps Nowhere in those two links could i find the amount of data for each of the plans. We have to do a Google search and get that information elsewhere! Nowhere on Cox's Website could I find the data plan limits -- speed highly advertised but not data. Re: I need clarification of what is happening to my service, help I've been with Cox for 30 years and I've also received email advising of overage....i didn't know there was a limit and when I go on line to see what the limits are for their different levels -- i don't see them listed. Cox is having problems with services like Netflix cutting into their business and my belief is that these limits are a result. They should have informed all their customers... By the way, when questioning what happens if you go over on their website....they state only in extreme circumstances will they cut off your service. Re: Internet Connection Issues due to recent McAfee update. seems like all these past messages are related. i've been having all the same problems. since cox didn't send out a warning about the McAfee flap, i spent $200 on support service from Sony. they worked on my computer online for 12 hours and i still have disconnect issues, no connection because there's a break in my network, etc. They uninstalled McAfee and it was working for about 16 hours untilI reinstalled McAfee tonight and again have connection problems although we are told the problem was fixed. I'm sitting here thinking my router isn't working all of a sudden, my modem was old so figured that best to buy a new one rather than try & figure it out and that didn't fix the problem. So maybe it isn't my stupidity after all. I had a good working system and then on or about August 14 I suddenly had no system although I agree with everyone I had been losing connection and "resetting my adapter" every day for a long time now.
