Tuning Adapter (High-Split) Converter Problem
I have a TV ROAMIO that has been used without problems with a tuning adapter for 9 years. A few months ago I was sent a new High Split Converter (HSC-1-H) and I installed it and it worked without issue for 2 months. At 2 am a week ago, I could not receive any channels. When I unplugged the HSC tuning adapter - everything returned to normal. I replaced the Cable Card - no effect A COX tech spent 2 hours in my house and was unable to find the problem. He verified that all my wiring, splitters, and signals to the unit were fine. He replaced all the cable and splitters. I replaced with TIVO with a new ROAMIO - No change - Nothing will work once I plug in the Tuning Adapter. COX sent me a new Tuning Adapter (HSC) and everything worked for about 24 hours - then, once again at 2 am - the problem returned. No channels unless I unplug the tuning adapter. I have changed all the USB cables, twice, changed every component in the system, twice, and watched the COX tech work on the problem for 2 hours - Nothing. It is Sunday, April 21st. We have had no cable Tv since 12:50pm today. It is now 8:11pm. We have been customers for 19 years. This is utterly unacceptable and disgusting to not have service for my household when I pay such high costs each month. I am not happy and you will be crediting my upcoming bill. I am now receiving texts from Cox Saying service will be restored at 10:20pm. The first restored service was 2:20pm this afternoon. Service just went out for 2nd time this weekend. We spend $400 ! MONTH ! For this. Thunder Game's on at 8:30, and they're estimating service fixed at 9:30. Unacceptable. We have had cox for 32 years at this address. And at least 10 years at our last address. We are about to fully retire and believe me cox is the first that will go at these prices and this poor service. I've teleworked since the beginning of covid and limped along with your slow internet service you've been to my house a month ago because we keep dropping service and here we are at 2 times in 3 days. Why was my response rejected are you afraid other people would agree with me that the service is unacceptable and the customer service representative are robots who can't sympathize with the customers and only read scripts that they were given. Cox has the worse service in the world I pay over $200 for **bleep**ty service every night for the last 10 days my service keep cutting in and out. I recently posted a question about an equipment update from COX. A moderator, DannyS replied that the update involved new Tuning Adaptors. Strangely, DannyS disabled replies, so I'll start another thread with my follow up questions. As stated in the original post, my tuning adaptors were updated about a year ago. Are you really going to update them again or is this an error. I finally got a hold of a real person at Cox. She stated that the update involves new Cable Card, not Tuning Adaptors. She seemed to know what she was doing and was fully aware of the fact I had new tuning adaptors. She has send me two now cable cards. So... What's really going on? I recently got an email from COX asking that I order some upgraded equipment. I'm currently having trouble getting a hold of anyone at COX that knows anything. I have the Cox Wireless 4K Streaming box. Model Xi6-A. I keep getting this error It started a few months back with one of my boxes. So I returned it to the COX store and got a new one. Then the new box started to do the same thing. I have 2 other boxes same model and they work fine. My Pano modem is just fine, not connection issues at all. Never ever ever get Cox crappy crappy service and let's not discuss service they act as if all of them ate lead as children if you didn't get it slow no resolution skills or communication skills.
