Why isn’t HBO John Adams part 1 available on demand? All other episodes are there.

I just found the series John Adams on HBO and want to watch from the start but the first episode isn’t on demand.  I thought premium channels offered all episodes on demand.

    The Networks decide On-Demand series availability. It does appear to be board casting on Contour 2 but not Contour 1.

    I've noticed HBO slovenly does this with some series.  HBO will make the first episode exclusive to only Max but the rest are accessible on either...or vice versa.  It's annoying and dumb.
