Cox TV Delay

Why is there such a delay on Cox TV? My streaming apps fare about a minute ahead of what I’m seeing on TV. I’ve only notice this the last month or so. Also friends i amchatting with online their TVs are a minute ahead of mine.

Hello Bmitch,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are experiencing with a delay in what you are watching. Is this affecting all channels? Does this happen on all of the TV's in the home? If you have not already tried this, can you unplug the coaxial cable and the power cable from the cable box for 30 seconds and then reconnect them? It is possible to see some delays, due to propagation delay or the amount of time it takes the signal to travel from the sender to your TV box. This does not usually cause a full-minute delay though.

My apologies. I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are experiencing with a delay in what you are watching, Can you please make sure all connections are finger tight and make sure cords are undamaged. Can you please tell me if this is affecting all channels? Does this happen on all of the TVs in the home? If you have not already tried this, can you please unplug the coaxial cable and the power cable from the cable box for 30 seconds and then reconnect them? It is possible to see some delays, due to propagation delay or the amount of time it takes the signal to travel from the sender to your TV box.

What delay do you get on your TV set, or in the office? Is it different for different areas?
