Cox TV Delay

Why is there such a delay on Cox TV? My streaming apps fare about a minute ahead of what I’m seeing on TV. I’ve only notice this the last month or so. Also friends i amchatting with online their TVs are a minute ahead of mine.

Hello Bmitch,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are experiencing with a delay in what you are watching. Is this affecting all channels? Does this happen on all of the TV's in the home? If you have not already tried this, can you unplug the coaxial cable and the power cable from the cable box for 30 seconds and then reconnect them? It is possible to see some delays, due to propagation delay or the amount of time it takes the signal to travel from the sender to your TV box. This does not usually cause a full-minute delay though.

@Bmitch,

Have you tried swapping out your Contour box to see if that fixes the issue?

I have the same issue. This seems to be a common occurrence for a lot of people over the last few months. I definitely didn't have this issue during the last season of watching football.
