My DVR keeps freezing up. I’ve exchanged the box and the replacement is doing the same thing. Any ideas?
Does it just freeze while a live or recorded program is in progress or immediately after pressing a button on the remote? What kind of DVR is it?
It is a Contour model
I don't know if you have a Contour 1, Contour 2, or Wireless 4k Contour Stream Player, but my guess is Contour 2. A cable TV signal is required to use FF, Rew, or Pause when watching a recorded program because a response back from a Cox server is required for remote commands. But, if you didn't press a button on the remote, playback of a recorded program already in progress would have continued for Contour 1. I'm not sure about Contour 2. Since you've replaced the box, a poor signal is most likely the cause of your issue. Contact cox.help@cox.com and include your full name, the service address and a detailed explanation of your issue.
