The NHL Center Ice Sports Package for the 2021 season is launching January 13, 2021, and has the following exceptions to a normal season.
The season has been shortened to five months.
There will be 56 games instead of the normal 82.
The regular season price of $144.99 has been reduced to $114.99.
A free preview is available from January 13 through January 19, 2021.

  • Why are the Canadian games blacked out in Las Vegas?? That's 25% of the games. They're not blacked out for Directv! None of your customer service reps know on the phone. This is ridiculous!

For the NHL specifically, blackouts are present to allow regional sports networks to broadcast as many games as possible. “Blackout restrictions exist to protect the local television telecasters of each NHL game in the local markets of the teams Cox has no control over this. Blackouts are not based on arena sell-outs. This black-out detector may help www.nhl.com/.../nhltv-blackout-detector.

Terrible answer. Blackouts are based on home territory. Montreal and Toronto are nowhere near Las Vegas, yet that game was blacked out.
