I have had an outage of TV/Phone/Internet just about all day long today. You'd think this would be the perfect time for me to catch up on The Walking Dead episodes I have recorded but you'd think wrong. I cannot watch any recorded shows because of the outage. Apparently, this is an issue that has been brought up before YEARS ago and still has not been remedied. A service outage should NOT effect DVR viewing capabilities. I can see the outage not letting a show that is scheduled to record record. But something that is already recorded and stored on the hard drive of the box should be accessible at ANY time. Otherwise, what is the point of having this big *** box on my mantle for my TV?

Do you have Cloud DVR? If so, when the cloud goes down, so does the DVR.
