Cable Cards

Cox appears to have eliminated discounts for cable card users in an effort to push all subscribers to rent their equipment.  They told me I must return the cable card and rent their equipment to get any promotional discounts.  We would like Cox to realize this is a punitive approach to loyal customers, and further demonstrates the monopoly they have in our area.  Our alternatives include cutting cable TV and just rely on streaming.  That is now under active consideration.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
