trying to get remote to work it has new batteries. it will turn off tv and that is the only thing it will do,

I have the same problem. New batteries but the remote only gets it to turn on and off. Doesn’t change channels or volume. You think they’ll charge me to replace this one?
Try initializing the remote again. Cox won't charge you for a defective remote.
