Cox mini box

I read that I can outright buy a mini box on line and stop paying that monthly rental charge from Cox. Cox is suppose to provide me with a cable card free of charge. Does anyone know anything about this. If yes, what manufacture is approved for this mini box?

    Mini-boxes cannot be purchased nor can cable cards. I suggest contacting our sales team for the most up to date pricing for either of these items.
