There is an AC power adapter plugged into one of the back bedrooms. It has cable connected to the end of the power adapter and the other end is plugged into the cable wall outlet. What is it for? If necessary can I put a spliter on the cable prior to the ac adapter?
Does it look like this? Sounds like a power supply for a amp. I would not suggest putting a splitter on it.
Yes it does, I am trying to get cable service to two rooms that are back to back and this device is in one of them which is why I asked about the spliter. Short of pulling new cables do you have any suggestions for accomplishing this if I can't split this line?
I would suggest finding the amplifier in the house and relocating the power supply to the same room. The problem comes if the amp is in the house box on the outside of the house. Then you could move the power supply to a different outlet, assuming you have extra one.

Yes I have cable and internet service, I will take a picture when I get home and attach to this post
