DVR - Delete saved program - Hangs the receiver box

Hi

Anytime I try to delete more than 2 programs from DVR, the system wants to Restart and does not allow to Delete. I have bunch of episodes that has to be deleted, when I delete it hangs and restarts. But even after reboot, it does the same thing.

Is there an alternative way to delete saved programs? Let me know if any details are needed.

PS:- Though i have filled only 55% of space, trying to tidy up the DVR.

    Hi Prabz, it's possible that you're experiencing hard drive malfunctions, and the defective DVR needs replacement. Have you tried syncing the DVR, prior to deleting?

    -Using the Cox remote press the Contour button.
    -Highlight the Gear icon, then press OK to access the Settings menu.
    -Highlight the Device Settings, then press OK.
    -Highlight Sync DVR, then press OK twice to begin the DVR Sync.

    If this does not resolve the issue, we highly recommend swapping out the receiver. Once the receiver is swapped, you will lose all DVR content, and we deeply apologize for the inconveniences caused. -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator

    Hi Prabz, here is some additional information on deleting series recordings, http://bit.ly/2V4P21w.

    -Use the up and down arrows to highlight a series.
    -Use the right arrow button to highlight the circled X.
    -Press Ok to delete all recorded episodes of that series.
