will my vintage rotary phone work with cox digital phone system ? thank you . .
I think it "can" work but Cox has to change something on their end. The thing is, in rotary mode, it won't work with normal pulse tone phones.
I don't believe a telephone modem (eMTA) can deliver enough voltage to clang those bells on a rotary.
i hadn't thought of that .. hmmm , thank you .
ok , i know what you are saying .. i have done some research on this ...
i was thinking of buying one in exc. condition that owner said works ,
maybe you can make calls , but as another cox forum person told me ,
there may not be enough in the system to ring the bell ..thank you .
a friend with one says it works , but maybe he can only call out , not hear incoming call .
cox probably doesn't care about folks with old rotary dial phones ..thanks
