Why isn't Cox even trying to be competitive in their pricing?

I am a 30-year customer and just saw my bundle discount (which I've always had) disappear due to "promotion expiration". Customer service on the phone says nothing they can do. The new pricing makes no sense with all of the competitive options now. Sad to leave after all these years, but is it that they just don't even care about retaining customers?
