I know it's petty but this grinds my gears.with FIOS I could pick the fwd and red skip times in the settings menu. Re: Contour remote skip ahead So, my remote reverted back to the 5-minute default I absolutely cannot get it back to 30 seconds. I've even tried resetting the remote to factory and trying to set up again and it will not go back to 30 seconds. Re: Is it worth adding a MOCA to ethernet adapter upstairs? BTW, I have the Gigabit service with the Panoramic Router Is it worth adding a MOCA to ethernet adapter upstairs? Is it worth adding a MOCA to ethernet adapter upstairs? (or is it even possible?) I get good WIFI signal up there on the PC and Xbox. Would I notice any real difference in speeds? I get around 380-400 down using speedtest. Re: You may be experiencing impacts in your neighborhood.......what? update: Now we have 3 vans parked down the street - have been for an hour or more - don't think I've seen any of the techs move from their little pow wow in the street. Re: You may be experiencing impacts in your neighborhood.......what? Allan, thanks for responding. I'd just like to know what is actually going on, new lines, new hubs, bandwidth allocation/expansion, etc. "There's an issue, We're fixing it" just leaves so much to be desired. You may be experiencing impacts in your neighborhood.......what? So, I've noticed Cox Bucket Trucks in the neighborhood the last few days (and sporadic drops in service). Now I get this popup on my account "We've seen an increase in internet traffic as people have shifted their work and school activities home in response to Coronavirus. You may be experiencing impacts in your neighborhood at certain times of day, and that can be frustrating. Our engineers are working to provide the best possible experience. In the meantime, here are a few things you can do." COVID has reached its one year anniversary (more or less) -- why is it now a problem? If anything, it should be better, as people start to go back to work/school. Seems like its just an excuse to cover up something else. It would be nice to get a more technical description of what is being to to resolve this 'impact" Also, when will Cox upgrade their antiquated system, so I'm not sharing bandwidth with everyone else on the block? Re: Connection drops just enough to kick wife out of work VPN multiple times every morning. spikemonkey Where are you located. Mine does the same thing from 10pm - 8:30 am. The tech said the terminal box was showing noise and put in a ticket for maintenance. I'm in Va Beach, VA Intermittent Connection overnight/early morning 3 days in a row. Have had 3 nights of overnight connection issues. Each night it starts around 1030 and ends at 830 the next morning. Every few minutes, the connection drops for a minute or two then comes back. Monday night there was no outage report on the site until early the next morning. Tuesday night no outages were being reported. Tonight, another outage message. They're sending a tech tomorrow for whatever reason. No one can/will tell me what's going on or how long to expect it to happen. I start work at 730, so the first hour is shot. Not being able to access the internet overnight/early morning is getting aggravating, especially since I'm paying for Gigablast.
